Biography - Lizzie Buckmaster & Anna Hart
Anna studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture and the Architectural Association. She makes temporary interventions revealing narratives of memory in urban public space. Anna is currently leading a live project studio considering art and place, AIR, at Byam Shaw School of Art, Central St Martins, University of the Arts London and a postgraduate architecture studio at Oxford Brookes University.
Lizzie studied at the University of New South Wales, College of Fine Art in Sydney, Australia. She makes intricate paper works exploring order, beauty and identity by folding and cutting books. She is represented in Sydney by NG Art Gallery (www.ngart.com.au) and in Melbourne by Flinders Lane Gallery (www.flg.com.au). Her next exhibition titled 'Into The Woods' is at NG Art gallery in May 2008.
Anna and Lizzie have collaborated for five years. They developed the project plan and design concept for Religion and Place as well as working Mulberry Girls on the pilot faith chests. Although now separated by the equator they find their hemispheres often collide, and are currently developing a new bookwork.
